Listening to: On the inside I'm listening to all his beats.

Playing: The Guitar
My favorite drummer died on the 12th of his month, he was the most innovative drummer I've ever heard. Just watching his solo's gives me chills and seeing his face makes me smile. He was my first love, and my first favorite, and is underrated when it comes to the skins of the drums.
His name is Mitch Mitchell, and I'm proud to say he is my favorite drummer in the whole world. I love his drumming more than Keith Moon, or John Bonham. He was so loving twoards his instrument, the way he holds his sticks is true passion. Just watching his face whilst he pounds away makes my heart jump. Such a backbone, such a talented drummer. Hendrix wouldv'e never been Hendrix without Mitchell, never would Purple Haze have such a thumping, capturing beat to lure you in.
Never before have I thought drumming to be tender. Never before have I even considered it graceful- I completely overlooked drumming until the day I decied to actualy watch Mitch play. It was one of his finest solos, In sweden, and I was captivated. His face was so caring, it's like the music was his baby. Its like his arms are peices of ribbon in the wind the way they just flow. The sounds is magnificent and quick, and Jazz fusion was never the same. Rock was never the same the day Mitch Mitchell came onto the scene, to play with a lad named Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix would have never been the same, and in fact he wasn't. It's one thing for Noel Redding to quit- but Mitch Mitchell is a whole other story. Buddy Miles could never replace Mitch, but Death has taken my favorite drummer. It's been almost a year now that I sit and look at a picture of my three favorites and pitty the world that they don't walk our planet anymore. It leaves an empty space in my heart- sad that I'll never get to see him live- but it fills up rapidly when I realize how much influence he's had over me. I'm happy to say becuae of Mitch it was I let room for two other spots to form in my heart- One for Mister Jimi Hendrix and another For Noel Redding.
My beautiful Meesh I stand by my word when I say I love you, and that I respect you. And that you are my absoulute favorite drummer in so many ways. On the 12th I hope you are in Heaven, watching me play my guitar with a smile on your face. Beacause everything I play on that day is just for you, cupcake.
